Here in the U S of A, the issue of "Health Care" continues to dominate the news. The contemplation of real health is hardly ever promoted, however ("health care" being post-Orwellian code for "disease management" -- in other words, how to keep people alive and functional enough to continue taking as many pills as possible every day). One voice advocating real change in our concept of "health care" -- and one that has received major media attention -- is that of Dr. Andrew Weil. HOORAY!!
The crux of the whole issue -- as Dr. Weil says, and as I wrote in the article Seeing Western Medicine Accurately -- is that we must apply high-tech Western Medicine only in emergency, life-or-death situations (which are what it was designed for). To bring about and maintain real health, we must change our way of living, we must get real -- which everyone knows intuitively, and which most of us are still resisting.
The latest "Health Care" scare is about something called "swine flu." The populace is being urged -- with utmost urgency! -- to partake of the "swine flu vaccine." We are told that swine flu is more dangerous than regular flu, and that taking the vaccine is imperative! At the same time, the agencies making these claims are forced to admit that the symptoms of swine flu are in fact less severe than the symptoms of regular flu. So, what's the big deal?
Some people claim to have evidence that a "swine flu pandemic" will be declared, as a pretext for mandatory vaccination; and that the real purpose of the vaccination is to infect millions of people with the flu virus, and/or to inject them with microchips (for surveillance purposes)! In any case, taking the vaccination -- as with other medical vaccinations -- is, at best, like playing Russian Roulette. Regardless of the bacterium or virus involved, the most dangerous elements in these things are typically the other ingredients. The swine flu vaccine is reported to contain mercury* (YUM-MMM!) and squalene (a hydrocarbon, C3OH5O, famously injected into U.S. military personnel in Iraq, and thought by some to be the cause of Gulf War Syndrome).**
* Here's an article about thimerosal, a mercury-based additive that has been included in vaccines since 1931. The article -- published in 2005 -- details a secret meeting that occurred in 2000, at which officials from the CDC, the FDA, and major vaccine manufacturers acknowledged the overwhelming scientific evidence (which had been known for decades already) of a link between thimerosal and neurological disorders (especially autism). They acknowledged the link, and then assured each other that this knowledge would be kept secret from the public. From about then (or even 1999) thimerosal was no longer added to most vaccines -- and the stockpiles of existing vaccines that contained it were sent to third-world countries! And yet, even now thimerosal is still in the flu vaccine (though it's now being claimed that you can receive a non-thimerosal version of the vaccine, if only you know enough to ask for it)!

Of course, if people understood that viruses and bacteria do NOT cause illness in the first place -- that they are in fact Nature's clean-up squad, eating the toxins that cause the illness -- we would not be trying to kill them (and the people who make "antibiotics" would have to find something else to do). That Louis Pasteur, on his deathbed, admitted that his own Germ Theory was incorrect -- that "germs" do not cause illness -- is a fact that the medical industry has conveniently forgotten, and that the general populace was conveniently never told. Speaking of blogs ... I'm shocked to discover that it's been almost 2 months since i've added anything to mine! maybe I can do that soon!! (No promises... : ^ )

Reiki, The True Story continues to attract readers. According to both Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk, over 90% of those who view the book's description page actually buy the book! And Reiki, The True Story was recently listed as #21 on the BestSeller list at Amazon UK, and #25 at Amazon Canada. Thanks to all those British and Canadian readers!

Here's a radical idea: someone asking DOCTORS what to do about the health care situation. And, guess what -- their suggestions make a lot more sense than the government's....
